Are you someone who enjoys solving complex problems through mastering a craft, attention to detail and hard work? As a Content Developer with the HDR Architectural Business Group (ABG) Digital Delivery Team, you will help develop our growing library of content. You will work to advance the content initiative, contributing to the development, and implementation of content creation in support of the ABG Digital Delivery efforts. Primary duties will include development of digital content assets, including Revit Families, Revit Detail Components, and Details used in A/E/C design, in support of our business group and associated disciplines.
As a Content Developer, you will help the Digital Delivery Team develop our growing library of content.
The ABG Content Developer will work directly with the ABG Senior Content Developer and the Digital Delivery Leader on integration efforts relating to digital production content and will support the overall vision and initiatives of the core team concepts related to digital design and delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
Services
- Help the Senior Content Developer and Digital Delivery Leader assess content-related needs.
- Create parametric Revit families & content and related workflows for project use.
- Provide technical expertise to aid in the development of content strategies.
- Stay informed of the latest industry trends regarding content creation and management.
- Improve consistency and quality of both existing and new content.
- Work with the CL to develop and administer content approval processes.
- Consult with HDR offices and collect content that has proven effective in a project environment that can be vetted and redistributed to all offices.
- Work collaboratively with the digital design & delivery teams in other business groups.
Communication
- Attend and support workshops on content creation and content management.
- Represent HDR at industry events
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Professional degree, or currently enrolled in a school for Architecture, Engineering or Construction preferred.
- The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
- Aptitude toward technology, analytical problem-solving skills and enjoys taking on complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Strong oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit required.
- Preference given to candidates with examples of ability to operate Revit.
- Portfolio of content creation examples including Revit Families, Revit Detail Components, & Details is a plus.
- Awareness of related Revit Add-Ins, workflows, and associated software.
- Familiarity with Autodesk products: BIM 360 & Dynamo is a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of UNIFI, Revit, 3DS Max, V-Ray, Enscape & TwinMotion is preferred.
- Familiarity with MS OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams, & SharePoint, is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards for BIM content & data management is a plus.
- Participation in industry user groups/organizations is encouraged
- Knowledge of BIM Level of Development is preferred.
- Knowledge of UniFormat II, MasterFormat or similar building element classification standards is preferred.
