Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all company accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements ensuring quality compliance with necessary regulations and laws in Canada.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, including tax filings and reports for government regulatory agencies.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance, in accordance with Canadian GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Direct the financial strategic planning by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting assumptions, recommending objectives.
- Report key financial results and updates directly to the VP of Finance, providing recommendations and strategic insight.
- Protect the company’s values by keeping information confidential and acting with integrity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification is typically required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian GAAP/IFRS and understanding of the current regulations within the Canadian financial landscape.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Solid experience in risk management and the creation of financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
