Job Description
Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is currently looking for dynamic and efficient Spa Coordinators to fill part-time & full-time positions at Drift Spa. The Spa Coordinator is responsible for curating a professional, personalized and unforgettable spa experiences for the guest by working in sync with the Spa Director and other team members to provide excellent customer service. The role is an integral component of daily operations and the right candidate will become a critical asset to the entire spa team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of High School
- Fluency in reading, writing and spoken english
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and multitask
- Able to work well independently and as a team player
- Remain highly organized while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous reception experience (preferably in a spa environment) is an asset
- Must be flexible with scheduling and available to work weekends & holidays
- Must be physically capable of lifting and pushing linen carts weighing up to 75lbs
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Position Outline:
- Ensure all patrons feel welcome, comfortable and respected during their spa visit
- Follow opening and end of day procedures
- Ability to balance and handle cash, credit, debit and gift card transactions
- Learn and become proficient with Spa Booker Software
- Follow telephone etiquette
- Respond to questions and voicemails
- Secure appointments by phone via Spa Booker
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of spa services menu
- Become familiar with, recommend and sell retail products
- Assist with selecting services and/or products to meets the guest's needs
- Accommodate requests whenever possible
- Ensure that all check lists and task lists are completed
- Execute other tasks as may be reasonably required by the Spa Director
- Assist with cleaning duties
- Room turnover and sanitization
- Maintenance of common areas including reception & retail space, treatment rooms, relaxation lounge, locker rooms & pool decks
- Understand and adhere to resort expectations & industry standards
