Your role as a Trauma Intervention Coordinator
Dialogue is looking for a Trauma Intervention Coordinator on our Optima team to take part in our mission to help people improve their well-being. Working closely with Mylène Ouellette, Team Lead, your role will be to provide post-trauma support and coordinate a rapid and effective response to an event affecting an organization's employees. What you'll be doing:
- Assess and analyze the needs of organizations calling on the trauma service
- Coordinate post-trauma interventions in organizations that are clients of Optima and Dialogue
- Offer interventions to affected employees according to their needs and the situations encountered (e.g., work accident, death of an employee, layoff, etc.)
- Work closely with managers and human resources to advise and support the organization in returning to normal after the event
- Be a good listener and use your experience in helping others to defuse the psychological crisis at the individual or group level, avoid post-traumatic stress situations and provide psychological support to those affected
- Take initiatives to improve the service and play an active role in recruiting external providers
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- University degree in a field related to counselling (Psychology, Social Work, Criminology, etc.)
- A valid professional license in Quebec (preferred but not required)
- Very good knowledge of psychological care in a trauma context and experience in crisis and emergency management
- Availability on weekdays with at least one evening shift (until 9 p.m.) and the possibility of working weekends
- The ability to work in both French and English
- An aptitude for administrative tasks
- Experience in management coaching (an asset)
