Summary
As we continue to grow, our Human Resources team is looking to add a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This role will provide support with full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing for top talent from job boards, technical schools, and other established channels, conducting pre-screens, scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and coordinating pre-employment onboarding. The successful candidate will have experience managing high volume recruiting and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- This position holds normal business hours.
- This position will be based out of our Calgary corporate office, we support a hybrid work environment consisting of flexible remote and in-person collaboration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full cycle recruiting activities, screening applicants, conducting phone screens and scheduling interviews.
- Update postings and candidate notes in ATS and career web page, as well as updating status reports.
- Source candidates and develop talent pipelines through established recruiting channels, such as job boards, associations, technical schools, and databases.
- Participate in hiring events, virtual and in-person.
- Collaborate with the HR to determine compensation strategies and to ensure we remain competitive in total compensation packages.
- Prepare offer letters and support presenting to candidates with hiring manager.
- Collaborate with HR and Payroll for onboarding activities and tracking candidates through the process, providing updates to Certarus’ hiring leaders.
- Update Employee Referrals and ensuring payroll is informed for paying out bonus rewards.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in administration, business, or human resources preferred.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in recruiting.
- Previous experience recruiting high volume roles in transportation will be an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to interact diplomatically at all levels.
- Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Candidates with experience in ATS systems such as UKG (UltiPro) or JAZZHR are preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to multitask a variety of projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
