DELIVER CONCRETE RESULTS - JOIN THE DUFFERIN CONCRETE TEAM AT CRH CANADA
Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the CSR/Dispatcher is the first point of contact for all customers in the Whitby area, this candidate must be able to enter customer orders accurately and courteously, while leveraging a high level of industry knowledge. The CSR responsibilities of this role include handling a variety of customer concerns, including pricing inquiries, product recommendations, adjustments to ongoing orders, troubleshooting delivery issues and communicating with the distribution team, in order to ensure seamless on-time delivery. Additionally, acting as a Dispatcher and first point of contact between the Distribution team and the Ready-Mix (RMX) drivers, this candidate will also be responsible for monitoring the Fleet of RMX Drivers while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the dispatching process. Dispatchers must also possess a strong directional orientation and a working knowledge of roadways in the GTA and surrounding areas in order to optimize RMX fleet resources based on project locations. Dispatchers must be computer savvy and demonstrate the ability to learn concrete shipping software and other required dispatching technologies.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the CSR main point of contact for account and COD customers throughout the ordering process.
- Accurately enter new orders and changes in the Command Concrete dispatching software.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide customers with updated information regarding their deliveries in an efficient and professional manner.
- Distribute orders among various concrete plants based on the project location, fleet limitations and product availability within the delivery region.
- Handle customer complaints by troubleshooting service and quality related issues; providing real-time solutions to satisfy the customer’s needs.
- Accurately and efficiently manage the fleet of RMX drivers to ensure on time delivery to our customers.
- Communicate effectively as main point of contact with the RMX Drivers, Batch Plants, and Distribution team through regular phone calls and two-way radio systems to ensure accurate and timely concrete delivery.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide customers with updated information regarding their deliveries in an efficient and professional manner.
- Ability to multitask and adjust to real time changes in a fast-paced environment in order to meet daily customer demands.
- Cultivate strong relationships with RMX Drivers to ensure scheduling and delivery accuracy.
- Uphold the company’s commitment to Environmental and Health & Safety.
- Other duties as assigned up to and including, payroll, Tablet inventory and management of software and issues as they occur.
- Required to work in the Concord Office and Whitby Plant
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of work experience
- Dispatching experience is an asset
- Related construction field experience is an asset
- Computer Proficiency – experience with Microsoft Office and Google Maps; Command Concrete, Track-It is an asset
