Job Description
Dupar Controls Inc., is a subsidiary of Dewhurst plc and is a manufacturer and supplier of quality components to the elevator and keypad industries. Founded in 1958, Dupar Controls Inc., is recognized as a world leader in the elevator push-button technology.
Currently, we have an opening for a Customer Service Representative in our offices located in Cambridge. The main responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
· entering orders into our ERP (SYSPRO)
· Daily communication with external/internal customers via phone/fax/email and occasional walk ins, advising the status of the order, replacement parts, pricing or general product information
· Most work is performed in the office, but occasional requirement to enter the warehouse to check the status of parts
· Handle customer complaints by providing solutions, often within a time limit to ensure the customer is satisfied
· Learn to identify customer needs or desires in order to recommend the appropriate product or service
· Learn the internal software system SYSPRO to be able to communicate effectively with incoming enquiries
· Maintain a record of incoming enquiries, to be able to reference at a later date
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner
· Provide feedback to other departments to improve sales, marketing and business processes
· Become familiar with the product inside and out to respond to any customer questions
The incumbent may also be required to work on other assignments as and when necessary.
The successful candidate will have:
· Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
· Be highly dependable and team oriented
· Possess effective and diplomatic interpersonal skills
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
· Be detail oriented
· Strong computer and keying skills: good understanding of Microsoft Office and ERP systems
