Job Description
As a yearbook customer service representative, you will be joining an established company working with students and teachers to assist and guide them in creating their yearbook. You will work virtually with yearbook teams to provide journalistic advice, creative guidance, software training and support.
Job Objectives
Within this role, you are responsible for a range of activities designed to achieve a high level of client service and satisfaction during the school’s yearbook production time frame. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and decision making throughout the year. You will be working with an existing client base as they navigate through their yearbook’s complete production, from initial start-up to the yearbook’s delivery to the school. Our representatives act as the ultimate yearbook resource, serving as mentors to both students and teachers, while also working as project managers to guarantee each publication’s success. Your efforts will be integral to the quality of each school’s book, and the entire program supporting it.
Regularly meeting virtually, you will conduct software training sessions and will assist with other aspects of yearbook class training including photography, theme development, journalism, budgeting and classroom management. These workshops and class training sessions will take place predominantly over video software platforms.
Along with scheduled training sessions, you will be readily available by email, phone and text to answer questions related to yearbook production. You will be following up at key points of the production season, especially around deadlines.
Along with providing service and support to an existing client base, you will be building up the company territories through database management and lead generation. As your experience grows, your sales involvement will increase with qualifying, negotiating and closing new clients, depending on your experience and skill-set. This provides the rare opportunity to work hands-on in a creative and educational capacity, while also enjoying the earning and growth opportunity of a sales professional.
The bulk of FutureBook's clientele is in southern BC. Being located in this region is advantageous, but not necessary. There may be some travel in this region throughout the year, to be discussed. Work hours would coincide with the PST time zone.
