Position Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor of Booking & Customer Relations, the position will be part of an enthusiastic team that are collectively responsible for providing quality and professional customer service by responding to public inquiries related to City programs and services. The position will also be responsible for all reception cashier duties as requested by the Supervisor and Administrative Support Services. General duties include greeting the public, answering phones, and assisting with a variety of administrative tasks. Being available to work various shifts as well as weekends and holidays is required.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school (grade 12), including one-year post-secondary education/training
- Must have over a year of Customer Service experience
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail
- Confident ability to interact with the public using different customer service channels/platforms including in person, phone, and email communications
- Strong knowledge of vast array of computer systems such as ActiveNet and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Cash handling experience
- Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability and skill to preform assigned duties to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to take direction and execute rules and regulations included in agreements, policies, procedures and standards, and the ability to communicate this clearly to user groups to ensure compliance.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, budgets, cash handling, rates and fees, and payroll is necessary
- Superior organizational skills
