Summary
Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Delivery Helper to join our team. The shifts are Monday to Friday 6:30am-3pm. The wage range is $21 - $23 per hour, based on experience. Our Extended Health & Dental benefits start after 3 months.

Responsibilities
- Assist shipper with loading and unloading of trucks
- Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency
- Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites
- Verify load security and accuracy
- Maintain contact with shipper and work to resolve issues as they arise
- Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
- Perform call aheads for each delivery
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
- Forklift experience an asset
- Physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs
- Sitting and driving for long periods of time
- Frequently climbing up and down stairs
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements to transfer materials between truck and job site
The Location - Door Shop, 1210 Chidlow Connector Rd.
Our Langford Store and Door Shop are conveniently located on a major transit route just off of Sooke Road past the Luxton Fairgrounds. The Door Shop provides the production team with state-of-the-art equipment for manufacturing interior and exterior residential and commercial doors. This diverse team works well together by showing mutual respect and collaboration.
