Position Overview
If you are passionate about positively impacting a diverse population of youth, you will find fulfillment as a Youth Program Facilitator. As a Youth Program Facilitator, you will support youth as they work toward Developing Habits for Healthy Relationships, Building Their Own Capacity, and striving for Overall Well-Being. The schedule is variable and negotiable, but the successful candidate will be consistently available on Wednesday and/or Thursday evenings.
Duties and Responsibilities
· As a positive role model with a passion for youth and fun, you will plan and facilitate evening programs at the Youth Centre
· You will establish intentional and genuine relationships with youth
· Within a team, you will be confident in supporting a diverse population
· Within a team, you will contribute to the safety and cleanliness of the Youth Centre
· You will be comfortable and qualified transporting youth in a 15-passenger van
· Position requires evening shifts including some Saturdays
Experience and Competencies
Education and/or experience in Youth Leadership and Adolescent Development are assets. A clean valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years driving and insurance history are necessary. A Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector check and a Child Intervention Check are required.
