Job Description This role is eligible for our five-day flex office work model.Why this job’s a big deal:As Priceline expands further into the global market, we are rapidly scaling our world-class Technology organization. We are tackling to improve the performance and reliability of our site as well as our ability to quickly deploy new features to customers. To help us be more successful, we are crafting a new team that bridges the Operations and Application Development teams. This team will report to the Infrastructure and Technology Operations Team but will embed with one or more of our product development teams to foster our DevOps culture.Work alongside Developers, SDETS, program managers, product owners, as well as the central infrastructure/operations teams to help Development teams deliver features faster than ever. Collaborate closely to help build new resources, help lead the product’s operational responsibilities, work on projects and initiatives, build new patterns and facilitate communications with the central platform teams. You will work with members of your team to assure that solutions are consistent and meet standards.In this role you will get to:As a member of the DevOps Team working alongside Engineering and Product Development, you will help drive critically important projects that have a direct impact on Priceline's business.You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and operations of a fast-paced, highly-available software and data system.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and system administration, focusing on automation and scalability.Take a leading role in building all DevOps areas, especially the GCP cloud environment, tools, services, and up-timeBuild, improve, maintain, and document internal release systems and pipelinesAutomate the deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes and toolsPlan and push forward the growth and scale of data capacity for various productsMonitor and troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrencesContinuously improve automated build, test, and deployment workflowsDrive the CI/CD strategy for our product pipelines with a focus on reliability and scaleWho you are:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant experienceExperience in software engineering and developmentExperience with Linux infrastructureExperience with GitOps, Terraform, KubernetesProficiency in multiple scripting languages – Shell, Perl & Python scriptingFamiliar with large-scale production systems and technologies, for example, load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration managementExperience in configuration management tools such as AnsibleExperience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWSStrong proven track record to improve processes and automate workflowsConfident with the utilization of Web Services and APIsWorking experience with service mesh architecture, like IstioExposure with Deployment tools like Harness, Argo CDIllustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and TrustThe Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
