Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned, strategic-thinking Operations Director to lead our operations. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all facets of general contracting, have a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures, and demonstrate a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily operational activities related to general contracting and provide strategic direction and support for the team.
- Develop and implement operation strategies, structures, and processes that align with the goals of our general contracting services.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize operational effectiveness, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the progress of all general contracting projects, manage contractors, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and enforce adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with the project management team to coordinate resources and manpower, resolve issues, and mitigate project risks.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, with a focus on general contracting.
- Proven experience in an operational leadership role, preferably as an Operations Director.
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage and execute complex projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- BSc/BA in Engineering, Construction Science, or relevant field.
