Position Responsibilities

Product strategy: (30%)

Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive the adoption and growth of the products and services offered by both Home Trust and Oaken Financial.
Identify target markets, create value propositions, and set work closely with the various lines of business to drive revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction.
Develop clear and compelling messaging to effectively communicate the value, benefits, and differentiation of our products and services. This involves deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.
Develop compelling messaging and positioning for financial products that effectively differentiate them from competitors in the market. Highlight the unique features, benefits, and value propositions of each product.

Team management: (20%)

Lead a team of Product Marketing Managers/Senior Product Marketing Managers in the planning and executing of marketing effort in support of company products and services.
Delegate tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring effective communication within the various departments of the marketing team, including creative, digital, brand and insights teams.
Engage and manage external agency partners and suppliers, as required.

Marketing campaigns & sales enablement: (20%)

Conceptualize and develop a framework for the product marketing team to execute marketing campaigns designed to drive product awareness, generate leads, increase customer engagement and promote products.
Support the team in collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly at the senior levels, including product managers, sales, and product development to ensure integrated and effective campaigns that to align product marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives.
Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, resources, and training to effectively sell financial products. This includes leading the team in the development of sales collateral, product training materials.
Create and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new product launches, ensuring effective coordination across various departments such as sales, operations, and customer support.
Ensure that all marketing efforts are organized in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and approvals, including those related to security, privacy, and confidentiality.

Market research: (15%)

Conduct thorough market research to analyze customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities. Use this information to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify market opportunities and potential threats.
Formulate appropriate questions and hypotheses to engage data and analytics teams to provide information required.

Budgeting and financial management: (15%)

Develop and manage the product marketing budget on behalf of our line of business partners.
Estimate and forecast expenses, negotiate with suppliers, monitor expenditures, track costs and ensure cost-effective delivery of high-quality campaigns and collateral.
Ensure product marketing programs meet financial targets and deliver ROI.

Formal Education
Post secondary degree or diploma required (University degree preferred) in Business or equivalent or Marketing or equivalent
Related Experience
7+ years in marketing
Financial services (mortgage) industry, alternative lending and broker channel preferred
Strong financial product and service knowledge
Strong understanding of brand
Solution-focused and takes initiative ensuring self and team work effectively and efficiently within established guidelines
Creative-minded with strong organizational, time management and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal relationship building and listening skills
Effective leader who motivates and engages others through fostering a collaborative team environment
Excellent written / verbal communication and professional maturity
Able to multi-task and flourish in a fast paced, deadline-driven work environment
Consistently demonstrates and reinforces organizational values
