With five locations in Prince Albert, Meadow Lake, Melfort, Tisdale, and Saskatoon, TUPG is Saskatchewan's number one source for automotive/heavy duty parts, autobody supplies, and vehicle accessories. We are seeking an organized and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in Saskatoon as our Delivery Dispatch Specialist. This is a full-time permanent position.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred, especially in the automotive industry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computers and delivery management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license.
Job duties:
- Dispatching Deliveries: Coordinate delivery schedules and assign drivers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Route Optimization: Utilize advanced routing software to optimize delivery routes and minimize delivery times. Monitor traffic and weather conditions to make real time adjustments when necessary.
- Order Tracking: Keep customers informed about the status of their deliveries. Track orders using our delivery management system and provide updates to customers as needed.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication channels with drivers, customers, and other store departments to ensure a smooth delivery process.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, assisting customers with inquiries, resolving delivery-related issues, and providing a positive experience.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to track stock levels and coordinate with delivery drivers to restock inventory as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all delivery vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with safety regulations. Train drivers on safe driving practices and company policies.
- Problem Solving: Handle any delivery-related problems, such as delays, damaged goods, or missing items in a professional and efficient manner.
