Job Description
Annapolis Valley First Nation is currently seeking a Medical Transportation Driver to provide the safe and reliable transportation for community members to and from medical appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Heath Director at AVFN, the Medical Transportation Driver will be responsible for:
Assisting members in and out of the van if assistance is required, including but not limited to helping with seat belts, and folding and placing any walking devices or wheelchairs into the trunk
Transporting clients to and from medical appointments
Maintaining daily communication, including any stops and changes with the Medical Transport Clerk at Health Centre
Completing daily vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications:
Must currently have or be able to obtain a Class 4 - Public Passenger License
Must have current criminal record check, as well as CPR and First Aid certification
