Who we need:
We need a multi-tasker in the truest sense, who thrives on juggling projects, demands, and timelines - and doesn’t get overwhelmed doing so. As a DZ Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery of materials, goods, and products to meet customer and branch needs. In addition, you will ensure products are delivered on time, accurately to the customer, and that all safety regulations are followed.
What you will do:
- Provide our customers with a high level of service that is easily recognized throughout the industry as “the best”.
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing strong and positive relationships with customers.
- Working with customers to resolve issues and maintain a positive relationship.
- Make daily deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
- Load truck and ensure load is secure prior to starting run.
- Assist customers/branch staff in unloading orders.
- Make all requested deliveries/pick ups, unload transfers/returns off the truck.
- Check in with Dispatch before leaving for the day to ensure any late deliveries are made.
What will you bring:
- The driving qualifications. You currently hold a valid DZ license and a clean driving record for the past three years (no infractions of speeding, DWI, or other major occurrences). You also have experience driving a five-ton truck.
- The physical ability. You will be required to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Attention to detail and organization skills. You have an eye for detail and can identify and resolve discrepancies. You can keep track of schedules, delivery times and have a keen sense of organization.
- Safety awareness. You are safety-conscious and adhere to safety regulations, such as wearing proper protective equipment, following safety procedures, and identifying potential hazards.
- Problem-solving and time management skills. You are able to think quickly on your feet and find solutions to problems, while prioritizing tasks and effectively managing your time.
