Summary
The Marketing Event Coordinator will work alongside the Marketing and Sales teams, and our Technology Partners to grow our footprint, brand awareness, and revenues. This role primarily assists in delivering GoSecure’s events with, including our annual conference GoSec, and assist with our presence in local events in Canada and the US.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Post-event planning with partners and/or organizers (communications, coordination, etc.)
- Planning and overseeing events throughout the entire lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure.
- Initiate and plan the communication plan for each event.
- Ensure event completeness in a timely fashion and within budget.
- Ensure that the brand standards are respected and that GoSecure is well represented.
- Execute and support deployments with other departments, such as the Marketing team and the Sales team.
- Liaise with the team during the event, on-site or virtual, to support, control and ensure a smooth experience.
- Maintain an overview of all events to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Translate marketing communications and documents.
- Ensure that the reporting is accurate and up to date.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements and Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), Marketing, or Communication related field and/or equivalent education/experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or college diploma from a related program or PM certification would be an asset.
- Superior knowledge of English and French language, both verbal and written.
- 2 years of professional experience in project management, marketing, communication, event management or in another relevant domain.
- High interest in learning about cybersecurity.
- Excellent analysis skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Energetic and positive with a “can do” attitude.
