About the Position
kibo franchising ltd is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in North York, ON. This role will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing support to our senior leadership team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Report on financial performance (actual costs vs. budgeted) on a project-level
- Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
- Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources
- Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks
- Execute and monitor forecasting reports
- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
- Manage and review general accounting journal entries.
- Prepare audit files and liaise with auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
- Support the continuous development, implementation and compliance of accounting and financial policies, best practices, process improvements, and internal controls
- Respond to inquiries regarding financial results
- Assist in periodic and ad-hoc report preparation and analysis
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
- Background in financial analysis and planning
- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing CPA or CMA designation.
- At least 3-4 years of related experience in Audit, Accounting/Financial Reporting, or FP&A.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments with minimal instruction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Macro programming skills an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
