The impact you will have:
As a Senior Analyst, Finance, you will play an integral role in month, quarter and year-end financial analysis and reporting cycles, by creating complex business models and analyzing financial data to facilitate effective decision-making and financial reporting. You will work closely with the Financial Reporting team and other business units to provide meaningful financial analysis to support the Go-To-Market team with executing their strategies. Your valued opinion and insights will drive a direct impact to the overall financial results.
This role is hybrid with the expectation of being in the office once every few months.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with period-end close process, including processing month and quarter end journal entries in compliance with IFRS.
- Analyze and prepare monthly reporting schedules, GL account reconciliations and perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior year on related revenue and expense GL accounts for the marketing development function.
- Develop and maintain financial models and provide commentary to support strategic decision-making of financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Assist the Manager of Finance in enhancing monthly and quarterly reporting for management, for better efficiencies, explanations, and presentation of information.
- Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to gather relevant data and insights for accurate forecasting and budgeting.
- Provide oversight and training to Finance Co-op relating to invoicing.
- Prepare information required and liaise with external auditors for quarterly reviews, and annual audits.
- Identify and support changing financial reporting needs and work with cross functional teams to drive business improvements and process changes.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Professional accounting designation required (i.e. CPA, CA, CMA, CGA).
- High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical & problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Power BI is an asset.
- Proficient with standard Microsoft Office products, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills. Able to communicate and present information in a clear and concise manner to the relevant audience.
- Are driven to achieving results and continuously striving to deliver the highest performance through critical thinking.
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, manage competing priorities, and balance multiple deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
