Reporting Relationship: The Banking & Financial Reporting Specialist reports directly to the Controller.
Job Summary: The Banking Team manages all bank reconciliations, daily bank entries, fixed asset schedules, creating and processing of journal entries, and accounts receivable and payable job functions for Birchwood Automotive Group. The Banking Advisor plays an integral role in the full cycle process and ensures that all cash transactions and receivables are processed efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be joining a team that collaborates daily and covets a strong work ethic. Special consideration will be given to experienced candidates looking to enhance their career in the Accounting stream.
Qualifications:
- Accounting & Bank Reconciliation experience an asset
- Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable experience is considered an asset
- Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is considered an asset
- Positive attitude with a demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction
- Thrive in a collaborative environment where team support is encouraged
- A commitment to learning and professional development
- Proven ability to apply critical thinking in all problem-solving situations
- Comfortable leveraging technology for most day-to-day functions
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other applications
- Exceptional communication skills (in person, on the phone, by email, written)
- High attention to detail, proven time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds programs considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and transportation to work are required
