Wa Bagel is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Sandwich Maker. This full-time position/part-time offers an hourly wage(plus tips) and an opportunity to be a part of our grand opening. Job Title: Sandwich Maker (Full-time/Part-time)
Job Responsibilities include:
- Make fresh sandwiches daily
- Organize and prepare bakery ingredients
- Help main bakers to prep/bake bagels and other baked goods
- Accurately handle cash transactions, process credit card payments, and operate the cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Deliver great customer service, take their orders, and provide friendly and efficient service.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing the workstation for the next shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and dining areas, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate production schedules and meet daily baking requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to stand and perform during daily shift
- Understanding of HACCP and work safe policies
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Possession of Foodsafe Level 1 certificate considered an asset
