Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
· Prepare and cook meals, food items, and presentation trays using established recipes and visual aids, by monitoring cooking times and required quantities,
· Inventory current supply stocks and review new food orders for accuracy
· Maintain kitchen environment through daily sanitation practices and following regular and established maintenance procedures
· Monitor food quality through visual inspection, temperature control, and sample tasting when appropriate, using the Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system and food safety guidelines
· Deliver food to catering event/contract site and pick up supplies using Safe Food Handling Standards
· Provide additional support to HOO Team as required
Knowledge and Skills-Specific to Job
· Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Certification in Food Handler Training
· Proof of valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License
· Access to reliable vehicle and ownership of a minimum of $ 1 000 000 liability insurance
· Proof of no offenses on a current Driver’s Abstract
· Proof of no offenses on a current (less than six months) Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

· Ability to lift 50 lbs of weight with ease
· Ability to complete required duties in limited time frame
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to perform work duties in high and low temperatures
· Ability to perform work duties under high stress level, while maintain a significant attention to detail
· Ability take direction from others and adapt to an ever-changing environment
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks
· Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, statutory holidays and occasional overtime
· Must be available at 5 am
· Class G drivers license required
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: $15.50 per hour
