Job Description
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. A portfolio or examples of past work will be required.
- Expertise in React: Deep understanding of React.js and its core principles, including experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
- Broad Knowledge: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. Understanding of newer specifications of ECMAScript. Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus.
- Front-End Tech: Familiarity with front-end build pipelines and tools. Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Responsive and Mobile Design: Understanding of responsive design principles and ensuring that applications render well across multiple devices.
- Testing: Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks. Familiarity with testing libraries such as Jest or Mocha is a plus.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Financial Services Knowledge: Experience working in the financial services industry, or with financial systems or products.
Your Day to Day:
As a seasoned Senior Lead Front-End Developer with strong React expertise you will bring a depth of knowledge in front-end technologies and architectural patterns, while leading development teams with the following responsibilities:
- Lead Development: Guide, mentor, and manage a team of front-end developers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality code and successful project completion.
- Front-End Development: Design and implement robust front-end solutions using React. Manage all aspects of front-end development, from setting up build configurations to coding and debugging.
- Design System Evangelist: Advocate for and enforce the consistent use of design system components and best practices. Help refine and contribute to the company's design system.
- Optimize Performance: Ensure the performance, reliability, and stability of front-end code. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code, backend developers to agree on what APIs should be, and DevOps to make sure your application is properly deployed.
- Code Reviews: Conduct and participate in code reviews, promoting best practices and maintaining a high level of quality in the codebase.
