Job Description
We are seeking for a Senior Developer with a background in Web application development using PHP, JavaScript and SQL. This person will work with a team of developers and business resources to both build and maintain high performance web applications aimed at manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Secure legacy applications (Reverse engineering, refactoring, system migration, etc.)
- Help improve software development tools and methodologies including CI/CD, Agile, etc.
- Automate tasks such as dependencies management and testing tools
- Develop and maintain web applications and other related technologies
- Design, code, test and deliver solutions derived from well documented requirements
- Create appropriate design documentations and other work-related artifacts
- Write thoughtful and easily maintained code as part of a larger development team
- Produce UI mockups in compliance with modern useability standards
- Provide effort estimates to support proper planning of projects
- Participate in requirements analysis and feasibility studies
- Describe technically nuanced concepts in easy to understand terms to non-technical audiences
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BSc. Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years working experience in developing mid to enterprise-level projects
- 5+ years of solid experience in PHP, JavaScript and Web UI development
- Familiar with the main useability rules and standards for well designed HMI systems
- Knowledge of Agile Development tools, techniques, and principles
- Familiarity in creating unit and integration tests
- Strong experience in MySQL, query builder, is able to write and optimize complex SQL queries
- Experience with software code management (GIT) such as GitFlow workflow
- Experience in CI/CD practice
Optional
- AWS Developer or AWS Architect Certification
- Python
- Familiar in design and modeling languages such as UML, SysML, BPMN
- LEAN, SixSigma knowledge
- Experience in containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
