We are looking for a self-driven (no pun intended!) responsible employee who has a demonstrated success record in full-stack development. The ideal candidate comes from an automotive sales/parts/service environment and understands the importance of customer lifecycle management. This role is based at our onsite location in Richmond Hill and is a Monday – Friday office role. Previous experience developing responsive websites using frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap and jQuery would be an asset.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about helping guide our customers through the portal of the automotive world. Your collaborative style and relationships with designers help ensure our websites stay on-brand.
Highlights of the Role
- $100,000 per year, prorated during the contract term
- 3-Months Contract. Contract to hire
- Development Department
- Richmond Hill (On-Site) – reliably commute or relocate
- 9:00 – 6:00 pm (Monday – Friday)
Role Responsibilities
- Convert Design Mockups and business solutions into working C# / ASP.NET / HTML / CSS modules.
- Develop and maintain API functionality in both C# and Python.
- Manage existing ASP.NET MVC Framework websites, adding new functionality and content.
- Develop responsive websites using frameworks & libraries such as Bootstrap and jQuery.
- Develop custom ASPDNSF themes from scratch, including creating custom product templates and selling modules.
- Work closely with our SEO specialist and marketing team to deliver the best UX results.
- Collaborate with executives on requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure websites stay on-brand.
- Set up, manage, & configure hosting environments using a web interface.
- Write and maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code.
- Maintain working knowledge of new development software, trends, and practices related to your responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of ASP.NET MVC Framework
- Expert knowledge of C#, XSLT, ASP.NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, XML and JS
- Working knowledge of Amazon AWS EC2, RDS
- Expert ability to extrapolate from a static Photoshop comp to develop a responsive layout with minimal design direction.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (jQuery), and DOM manipulation.
- Expert knowledge of from-scratch WordPress theme development
- Advanced knowledge of from-scratch ASP.NET MVC development
- Expert understanding of the latest and legacy browser capabilities, including mobile platforms.
- Experience with SEO best practices.
- Expert knowledge of user experience best practices, including mobile platforms.
- Functional knowledge of SQL Server (managed via SSMS), and Windows Server R12.
- Strong issue-tracking and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated experience in an agency, in-house marketing/it department, or significant freelance body of work.
