Swissmar is currently looking for a Graphic Designer to work in our corporate Richmond Hill office. This position reports directly to our Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Solid experience in corporate design (branding, packaging, catalogues, in-store/trade show signage, print advertising etc.)
- Work with the marketing team to take a creative brief from ideation to execution, including layout review and approvals
- Coordinate projects from start to finish (concept, layout, approvals and print production)
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and design standards across all design materials and digital platforms
- Independently manage and prioritize workload, balance simultaneous deadlines, while ensuring quality of work is maintained
- Produce assets for emails, digital campaigns, web, social media and product experiences, including videography and editing
- Strong strategic thinking and impeccable design skills
- Ability to develop creative concepts that align with strategic objectives
- Excellent eye for typography
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies
- Hands-on experience producing packaging mock-ups
- Assist with trade shows; creation of visual floorplans, collaborate on merchandising, design and prepare visuals and signage
- Responsible for maintaining internal library of images and marketing materials
- Produce product photography including soldier and lifestyle imagery for use in packaging and marketing materials, both print and digital
Related Work Skills / Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or related work experience
- Minimum 5 years of graphic design experience, in CPG an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and research skills, overall business knowledge and consumer trend awareness
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrates ability to take initiative to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
- Knowledge of best practices in the digital design process, including image editing, color correction, image optimization, composition and typography
- Experience using email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact is an asset
- Background in use of social media platforms for brand communications
- Visual website design is an asset
- Photography and photograph editing skills
- Videography and video editing skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, both independently or as part of a team
- Ability to incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
- Background/experience in 3D product design an asset
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
