Job Description
Purpose:
The Graphic Design & Multi-Media Assistant is responsible for supporting the creation of still and multimedia resources.
Education:
Senior or graduated student of York University in Computer Science, Digital Media or an Engineering Program
Experience:
At least one year experience supporting engineering and science programs with digital media and graphic design projects towards improving the teaching and learning experience
Skills:
1. Ability to use social & digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others. 2. Ability to provide insight and suggestions to support individuals in making informed decisions. 3. Ability to meet deadlines and organize time effectively. 4. Ability to interpret and apply best practices, policies and procedures. 5. Ability to generate new ideas or recommend changes to existing programs. 6. Ability to update websites and social media platforms7. Advanced skills in Wordpress, presentation software, Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Premiere, photoshop) 8. Proven skills and familiarity with web systems such as wikis, learning management systems (canvas and moodle) blogs, social forums, web-based editing and design sites9. Knowledge of print media, layout, design, formatting, digital practices, web publishing, and AODA compliant design10. High level of accuracy and attention to detail- Experience with audio and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and photography is an asset
