If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a Hotel Controller to support our two hospitality properties.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Financial Accounting and Treasury, the Hotel Controller will work closely with the Hotel Management teams at both the Delta Hotel by Marriott Dartmouth and Muir Hotel in Halifax.
The Hotel Controller is involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations of our hospitality properties, including budgeting, accounting, inventory management, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, payroll, variance analysis vs. budget, and labour productivity. The candidate will ensure Accounts Receivable collection targets are met and payables are settled in accordance with due dates and cash flow projections. The candidate will successfully complete hotel brand financial reporting and look to maximize profitability by facilitating the achievement of hotel budget objectives and streamlining costs.
The candidate is a natural leader working with different department heads and is backed with effective communication and technical accounting skills. Working well under pressure, the candidate will be a problem solver who works with the utmost integrity. The candidate will apply effective leadership through clear direction, training and performance measures.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of related experience preferably in a hospitality setting. A post-secondary degree or technical diploma is required. Experience with Opera, Sage 300, OnTrack, Silverware, and Marriott Hotels and platforms are an asset.
