What is it like to work as an Exam Room Assistant/Receptionist at Arc AH/The Collegeway AH?
- Using Avimark (practice management software) to review appointments, take a brief history, support DVMs with their medical records, putting treatments in, invoicing clients
- Providing top-notch customer service by being the concierge for your paired DVM's clients/patients
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery (Can be learned on the job but MUST be comfortable with all sizes of cats and dogs, including fractious/aggressive animals)
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and assist in laboratory tests and research
- Counsel clients about nutrition, preventative medicine, parasiticides and basic medical terminology
- Answering calls, booking appointments and assisting CSR’s and RVT’s with calling and following up with clients regarding patient health
Skills required:
- Previous experience with veterinary receptionist and assistant duties is an asset, but not required.
- A passion to deliver high quality customer service
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to pick up 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay Range: $16.55 - $17.50 starting based on experience
