Part Time Senior HR Admin
24-30 hours per week (benefits Eligible)
As a newly created position, the Human Resources department’s mandate is to enhance the employee experience through recruitment, performance management, employee relations, training and development, payroll and benefits administration, support of people managers, and any other initiatives that enhance the employee experience at Reliable.
ABOUT YOU
You are skilled at supporting the Management Team, organized with managing multiple programs at one time, have experience attracting talent, adept at communicating process and policy, knowledgeable about health and safety, and are self-managing.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create our first employee manual incorporating relevant policies and our unique culture; keep updated
- Manage job postings/the hiring process
- Prepare hiring packages
- Conduct new employee onboarding and orientations
- Coach department managers on 90-day and annual review preparations
- Work with HSE Manager as needed
- Design and deliver employee training/education as required
- Advise and assist on employee discipline/terminations
- Administer extended health (Canada Life) and RRSP/DPSP plan (Manulife)
- Coordinate apprenticeship schooling with relevant post-secondary institutions
- Maintain apprenticeship records with Skilled Trades BC
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources management
- Effective with tactful communications to influence a variety of audiences and build trust
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
- Solid understanding of BC Employment Standards, HR designation completed or in progress preferred
- Minimum 1 -2 years of Payroll processing experience, CPA designation completed or in progress preferred
- Excellent writing skills in all areas of employee communication including policy and processes
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point
