HR & Payroll Assistant
Academy of Learning Career College is seeking an experienced and motivated part-time HR/Payroll Assistant to provide support to the HR & Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in human resources and/or payroll. An important part of this role is acting as the liaison between Human Resources and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Provide clerical and administrative support.
- Understanding and maintaining complete confidentiality in alignment with AOLCC’s expectations, FOIP and PIPA.
- Compile and update electronic employee records.
- Assist with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.).
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures.
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
- Conduct onboarding orientations with new hires.
- Assist with recruiting, sourcing candidates and updating our database.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an HR Assistant, Payroll Assistant, or relevant comparable experience.
- HRIS/HRMS knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of labour laws.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Highly proficient and professional communication skills.
