As a Human Resources Assistant, a typical day might include:
- Facilitates various routine internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
- Maintains digital and electronic records of employees
- Maintains calendars of the HR management team and organizes and files emails for VP of HR
- Assists with performance management procedures
- Schedules meetings and maintains agendas for HR-related events
- Coordinates training sessions and seminars
- Updates new staff records
- Processes documentation and prepares reports relating to personnel activities
- Assists with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts
- Posts job listings for open positions on applicable job boards
- Reviews resumes/applications and schedules interviews
- Arranges and/or facilitates initial telephone screening and in-person interviews
- Facilitates the hiring process by extending offers and negotiating employment terms

Must haves:
- Minimum 2 years in a fast-paced corporate HR Assistant/Coordinator role
- Human Resources Management certification is considered an asset.
