What You’ll Do
The HR Business Partner (People Partner) is responsible for aligning, advising and consulting with the business group on a full range of strategic and tactical Human Resources areas including Organizational Development, Talent Management, Compensation and employment relations. The position assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, seeks to deliver and if needed develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships with the business to deliver value-added service to the organization. The main client group is Mulgrave, along with additional opportunities for US-based client groups (supported remotely). The successful partner acts as an employee champion, is comfortable playing the role of challenger and is a strong change agent.

Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with management and employees, acting as a trusted advisor to understand operational needs and challenges
- Drive talent strategy and performance management processes, leveraging the SuccessFactors platform for optimal results
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers, including coaching, counseling, and career development
- Collaborate with business leaders to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention
- Offer guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and talent pipeline development
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, maintain knowledge of HR disciplines, and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
You bring
- Bachelors’ Degree in HR, Organizational Management or Business, Masters preferred + CPHR Certified HR Professional Designation preferred
- Minimum of 6-10 years' human resources experience, preferably with specific experience in leading/advising on Organizational Development, Performance and Talent Management in Manufacturing/Operations preferred
- Demonstrated experience, certification and/or training in Human Rights, Disability Management, Workplace Investigations – through CHPR Nova Scotia highly preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience in Canadian employment law & practices
- Skilled at solving business problems (lean/six sigma is a plus!)
- Outstanding communicator with strong influence skills – you present ideas and recommendations in a way that gains support from the business
