Job Description
The HR Coordinator provides support in all Human Resources functions including employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, training and development, health and safety, and HRIS administration. Working as a shared resource supporting multiple HR Business Partners the coordinator will provide a superior experience to the global employee group.
- Provide general HR support to the Global Corporate team
First point of contact for employee inquiries. Responds to questions regarding HR policies, guidelines, practices, employment verifications and benefits
- Recruitment: Manage the full-time and co-op recruitment process
- Support all full recruitment cycle activities (pre-screens, scheduling interviews etc.) including background check process completion
- Work with business leaders and HR Business Partners to establish requirements
- Facilitate and conduct interviews with hiring leaders
- Develop and maintain positive relations with educational institutions
- Leverages social media and sourcing platforms to target candidates
- Benefit administration for all related programs (i.e., HCSA, LSA, RRSP, EAP, etc.)
- Schedules and facilitates co-op, contractor and new hire orientations. Organizes new hire kits, and IT equipment for hires.
- Assists with onboarding activities, including monitoring, and ensuring completion of new employee training, onboarding checkpoints, and required documentation
- Creation and maintenance of electronic employee files
- Prepares and updates presentations, communications, reports, and other requests for data as required
- Input and manage data for HRIS; as well as files in shared directories/HR Portal/HR Global Library
- Assist with HR strategy execution and project work as it arises
- Prepare monthly metrics, including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting as required
- Assist with campus tours, scheduling and coordination of special events, and with organizing and supporting company-sponsored/employee events
- Prepare payroll notes for corporate employees on a weekly basis
- Update and maintain annual performance review process requirements – assist with launching forms, moving, or closing appraisals, loading divisional and employee goals
- Assist with the periodic review and updating of job descriptions
- Coordinate the recognition program for employees
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS code of business conduct
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
- Perform other support duties as assigned
Education:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree program specializing in human resources
- University Degree in a related discipline and/or CHRP designation would be an asset
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of related experience
- HRIS/Benefits Administration and Recruitment exposure an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and employees, both verbally and in writing.
- Business acumen and professionalism – maintains confidentiality critical to the Human Resources role.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance in a team-oriented environment.
- The individual must demonstrate initiative, innovation, and the ability to pick up on tasks quickly.
- Shows intuition, resourcefulness, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can meet critical deadlines.
