Primary Function
Responsible for the daily coordination and administration of all human resource functions across the company. Help cultivate a supportive and caring corporate culture.
Key Tasks:
- Coordinate and participate in the recruitment process, including creating job postings, candidate screening, arranging interviews and conducting reference checks.
- Support the new hire onboarding process, to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all new employees.
- Help foster a positive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR related topics.
- Assist with management of the ADP HR system, including the performance review process and time off tracking.
- Coordinate compliance training for all staff.
- Participate in continuous improvement, development and administration of employee programs, policies and procedures.
- Assist with managing Health and Safety, including facilitate meetings, developing policies, procedures and training.
- Communicate all applicable employment changes to the Payroll Administrator in a timely manner.
- Maintain complete and accurate HR records for all employees in compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Support, coordinate, action and align with Human Resources Manager to ensure optimal department and team functionality.
- Adhere to the highest level of privacy and confidentiality.
- Other duties and special projects, as required.
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources
- CHRP designation an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources, or office environment
- People oriented; ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well organized, attention to detail and ability to prioritize
