Over the past 18 years Aberdeen Hall has become a top level independent school that provides excellent academics and a strong character education to our diverse student population of 700 preschool to grade 12 children. Our Business Team has played a key role in assisting us by providing financial, human resource and risk management expertise. This contribution to the school has helped to provide our students and employees with one of the most unique, spectacular and inspiring learning and working environments in Canada.
We are expanding our team to add a Human Resources Advisor. You will be responsible for establishing human resource policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. Your position will ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all human resource functions and serve as the School’s Privacy Officer. Our Human Resources Advisor will implement human resource systems, support school Managers with employee relations, assess staffing needs and develop compensation plans.

Success Factors
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPHR designation or on the path to receiving one
- Proven experience in the area of human resources.
- Knowledge of Provincial Employment Law and Human Rights Legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR related situations related to regulations, laws and policies.
- Experience with development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and meet timelines, you find joy in taking projects across the line
- Highly organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and teams and work cohesively to achieve the school’s goals
