Reporting to the Sr. Director of Regulatory Compliance & Administration, the Human Resources Generalist will facilitate the talent acquisition process, monitor trends in compensation and benefits, and help ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws & regulations. This position will also aid in providing the leadership team with guidance on performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, diversity-equity-inclusion, policy & procedure development, and HR compliance. - Administer and execute routine tasks in special circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and terminations
- Monitor and provide guidance to help promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
- Maintain compliance with federal and provincial employment laws & regulations including occupational health and safety and human rights legislation, as well as ensuring policies and practices are sufficient to maintain compliance
- Monitor changes in trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Intermediate to excellent French language skills considered an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter, able to handle multiple projects at a time
