Job Summary: Ontario Building Experts is seeking an experienced and versatile HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting various HR functions and collaborating with employees at all levels within the organization. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a thorough understanding of HR best practices.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate the recruitment process, including job posting, candidate screening, and conducting interviews.Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with all necessary paperwork and orientations.
Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions to maintain a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Support the performance management process by assisting in goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
Benefits and Compensation: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management. Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness within the industry.
Training and Development: Identify training needs within the organization and help design and deliver relevant training programs. Support career development initiatives to foster employee growth and retention.
HR Policies and Compliance: Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring they align with current regulations and best practices. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
HR Data and Reporting: Manage HR data and generate reports on key HR metrics for analysis and decision-making. Utilize (Human Resources Information Systems) to maintain accurate employee records.
Employee Engagement: Plan and organize employee engagement activities and events to promote a positive and inclusive company culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
