Job Description
We are looking for an HR Generalist (on-site) to perform a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks. You will support the operations team with duties like posting job ads, updating the HR database and processing employees' requests. Our HR Generalist position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. If you are passionate about HR or Recruiting and are looking for valuable hands-on HR experience, this position is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies)
- Update HR databases (e.g. new hires, residency changes, vacation and sick leaves)
- Assist in payroll preparation by preparing new hire paperwork when required
- Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
- Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings and JHSC meetings
- Managed job boards and listings on Indeed and HigherMe
- Manage any and all HR-related inquires as required
- Prepare daily progress reports for the management team
- Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven work experience as an HR Administrative Assistant or HR Assistant
- Hands on experience with HR software (job boards, employee management systems, payroll software, etc.)
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office applications
- Working knowledge of labor legislation in Ontario
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business/HR preferred
- A Valid "G" Drivers License and reliable transportation
- Must be able to work onsite and travel between the store locations as required
