Job Description
Trevor Frances Recruitment is currently seeking an ambitious, results-oriented Senior HR Generalist to join our clients growing team in the steel fabrication and welding industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of daily HR operations and the alignment of employees with the organization's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage the entire recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, posting job ads, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and preparing offer letters.
+ Provide guidance and support to management on performance management, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
+ Advise managers and employees on the application of policies, HR programs, and employment laws, fostering a positive work environment.
+ Support HR programs, such as onboarding, salary administration, and time and attendance management.
+ Monitor and make recommendations to enhance productivity within the organization.
+ Investigate and resolve employee relations matters to maintain a harmonious workplace.
+ Review policies and programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
+ Maintain accurate employee records, both in paper and electronic formats.
+ Prepare KPI reports to support business decision-making.
+ Communicate and update the organizational chart as needed.
+ Stay informed about trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the field.
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR functions.
+ Handle additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
+ CHRP designation is an asset.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and best practices (OHSA, ESA, AODA, and Human Rights Code).
+ JHSC Certification is an asset.
+ Union Experience
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple initiatives with overlapping tasks.
+ University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline.
