Are you an experienced HR Specialist with a CHRP designation? Do you have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities? Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (RHAC) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated HR Specialist to join our team.

RHAC is a volunteer-driven, non-profit, community-based organization serving London and the six surrounding counties – Perth, Huron, Lambton, Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford. We are inspired by our community and committed to positively impacting the lives of individuals and diverse communities living with, at risk for, or affected by HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. The Role:
As an HR Specialist at RHAC, you will play a pivotal role in various aspects of our organization's HR functions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Recruitment: Conducting screening, interviewing, and providing guidance to leaders involved in the interview process. Making recommendations for hiring decisions to ensure the selection of top talent.
- Attendance Management: Overseeing time-related benefits and ensuring fairness and accuracy in attendance management practices.
- Employee Relations and Retention: Cultivating a positive workplace culture, fostering employee engagement, and addressing any concerns that may arise to promote strong employee relations and retention.
- Provide guidance on ESA and all other legislative requirements to both staff and Management.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Driving the DEI process to create an inclusive work environment. Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Performance Review Support: Assisting in the performance review process, providing guidance, and supporting managers in delivering constructive feedback.
- Progressive Discipline: Advising and guiding managers on progressive discipline procedures when necessary to ensure compliance with policies and employment legislation.
- Coaching to Leadership: Providing coaching and guidance to members of the leadership team to enhance their effectiveness and foster professional growth.
Qualifications:
A CHRP designation or equivalent certification is required with 2-3 years direct experience.
- Proven experience in the areas of recruitment, attendance management, employee relations, performance review, progressive discipline, and leadership coaching.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
