The Job Opportunity:
At Stallion Express, we’re looking for a seasoned HR professional to join our team as our newest HR Specialist! The ideal candidate will be joining us with 2-5 years of HR related work experience in Canada. The successful candidate is someone who is ready to confidently support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and work closely with our Leadership team to further develop their individual departments.

- Lead and collaborate with the HR team in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and performance management activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Leadership team regarding the application of the Collective Agreement (grievance management) and other relevant legislative procedures.
- Support Leadership team with conflict management, coaching, leadership development and succession planning.
- Participate in a variety of company initiatives and projects, as required. This may include but is not limited to participation on committees, assisting with company functions, etc.
- Assist in general HR duties. This can include updating our HRIS systems by creating new profiles, updating employee information, entering salary adjustments, processing terminations, etc.
- Assist in improving and further solidifying our existing recruiting and onboarding practices, policies, etc.
- Travel to our other branches across Canada (We currently have branches in British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario!).
About you:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field.
- CHRP certification is an asset.
- 2-5 years of practical experience in Human Resources with a focus on full-cycle recruiting in Canada.
- Strong oral and written communications skills with solid knowledge of Human Resources best practices.
- Self-Motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
- Effective at multi-tasking and prioritizing assignments.
- Strong working knowledge of standard computer programs (e.g., internet, spreadsheet, email, word processing, etc.).
- Experienced in recruitment and workforce planning
Schedule:
This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in the office. You will have the option to work from anywhere on Thursdays! We also offer flexible starting hours, between 9AM to 11AM.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
