Citi Global Spread Products technology is seeking a highly motivated Senior Developer for a backend Java position in a development team that serves DevOps Area. We are looking for a talented professional with a solid technical acumen to partner with onshore and offshore teams. Design and deliver innovative technology solution for the Citi Capital Markets front office. The Senior Developer will be a core member of the technology team responsible implementing projects to automate many processes and flows within DevOps tooling. Excellent opportunity to immerse in and learn within the GSP DevOps Division. You will gain exposure to technology initiatives targeted to maintain lead position among its competitors.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop web-based applications and cloud services in Java, Spring and OpenShift stacks.

• Work closely and collaborate with our stakeholders.

• Promote and follow solid agile software development practices.

• Build highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications.

• Provide guidance to the team with research and design.

• Implement improvements to platform technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant Java backend experience.

• Hands on experience in building an enterprise scale highly componentized application using Java, Hibernate, and Spring Framework.

• Experience working with SOA & Micro-services utilizing REST.

• Experience with Java Messaging (JMS).

• Experience with Kafka.

• Experience with design and implementations of cloud-ready applications.

• Deploy pipelines on large-scale container platform clusters is a plus

• Experience working in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment.

• Familiar with Jenkins, Code Quality Tools, SonarQube, Tekton, Harness.

• Proficient in industry standard best practices such as Design Patterns, Coding Standards, Coding Modularity, Prototypes.

• Experienced in RDBMS and SQL/PLSQL.

• Unit testing frameworks JUnit, Mockito.

• Understanding of the SDLC lifecycle for Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Experience developing application in Financial Services industry is preferred.

• Experience in debugging, tuning, and optimizing Java applications.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
