The Data, Privacy and Innovation Division uses a one-government approach to information and privacy governance, decision-making and service delivery across the Government of Alberta (GoA) balanced with individual client needs. This facilitates enhanced data sharing, collaboration, reduction in data duplication and innovation to ensure effective and efficient services across the government to provide better services to Albertans.

Reporting to the Manager, as a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership, coordination, advice, and support to ensure information management services are provided to ministries across the Government of Alberta.
Responsibilities:
Some of your role responsibilities in this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing leadership, coordination, advice, and support to ensure records and information management services are provided to ministries across the Government of Alberta.
- Providing direction to several site delivery units.
- Supporting budget forecasting, and sound accounting practices.
- Accountability to ensure quality control and compliance by ensuring the implementation of information management policies, procedures, and standards.
- Determining training requirements for staff, staff allocation, hiring of new staff, and identifying annual staffing requirements.
- Maintaining service levels through audits and statistical analysis.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Expertise in leadership, staffing, team development, and recommending innovative approaches and processes to meet changing client business needs and new technology.
- Solid knowledge of records management policies, procedures, acts and legislation, to provide records and information management advice to ministries, including the development and implementation of solutions.
- Strong project management and influencing skills to work with a variety of stakeholders at various levels.
- Expertise in evaluation and performance management of information management operations.
- Expertise in reconciliations, preparation and forecasting of budgets.
Required:
- Two-year diploma in a related field like Administration, Business Management, Project Management or related; plus
- Five years of progressively responsible related experience in Information/Document Management and Project Management.

Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Assets:
- Information Management Certification /Diploma
- Extensive knowledge of information management policies, process, and procedures.
- Experience in digitization.
- Knowledge of Information Management /Document Management Software and its applications.
- Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Project Management and Change Management theory and methodologies
- Knowledge of budget, forecasting, accounting practices and procedures.
- Experience in HR management, supervisory experience.

$2,365.37 - $3,104.50 /Bi-weekly ($61,736 - $ 81,027 per year)
Term of Employment: We currently have two permanent, full-time positions available.
Hours of Work: 7.25 hours daily/36.25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.
Location: Edmonton
