As a global leader in mobility innovation for over 24 years with 175 people on staff, we are dedicated to connecting people to places by working across disciplines and scale to address social justice, safety, and environmental resilience.Alta Planning + Design Canada Inc is a subsidiary of APD with its Canadian headquarters in Ottawa and an office in Toronto.Day to DayAs part of a network of marketing professionals across the company, your main responsibility is to lead the production of proposal responses to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in Canada, working in support of Alta’s project managers and principals. You will work heavily in InDesign, using templates. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing a high quality document from start to finish, using strong copy-editing skills and ability to adhere to complicated instructions. Other elements of this role include leading meetings with an agenda, good time management, and overall curiosity or interest in Alta’s technical work and industry. You will join a lively and energetic team in our Ottawa office, while centrally networked with the core marketing team based in the US.RequirementsRequiredBachelor’s degree in English, marketing, business or a related field of study.2+ years of experience in marketing.Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign.General understanding of the proposal development process for private and public agencies.Exhibits strong initiative, ability to manage competing priorities, multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams and the ability to work independently with little supervision.Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel or similar programs.PreferredExperience in a professional services firm.Understanding of the planning and design process and enterprise-wide management tools (ex, Deltek Vision).What We OfferFlexible scheduleAlta offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule where most employees work from home three days per week.
