The Position:
As a Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of The Adventure Group Whistler, The Spa at Whistler, and the Adara Hotel marketing goals. You will have regular interaction with staff and management from each brand to produce high quality content that tells the story of the respected brand.
You will be a vital part of our Marketing Team here at Gibbons Whistler with opportunity to assist with the marketing of overall Gibbons Food & Beverage venues. This role is ideal for a self-starter individual with a can-do attitude that loves Whistler, marketing & adventure. You will have a passion for creation whether that’s physical or digital and the desire to grow and develop within our company.
This is a full-time position working in our Head Office, located in Whistler BC. Work week is Wednesday – Sunday.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- In partnership with our Marketing Department, curate a marketing strategy to target each brand’s specific target audience/market (The Adventure Group, The Spa at Whistler, Adara Hotel).
- Knowledge and understanding of website and social media management (primarily Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok)
- Create monthly reports on specific social media analytics.
- Attend weekly strategy meetings.
- Influencer management.
- Assist Marketing Team with social media coverage on Gibbons Whistler accounts.
- Liaise with spa, hotel & TAG department partners to create social media content, year-round offers, promotions and activations.
- Respond to guest reviews on Trip Advisor, Yelp, Google, etc.
- Assist Marketing Director and Marketing Manager with administrative duties and operational tasks.
Adara Hotel/The Spa at Whistler Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate website
- Coordinate the advertising, marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Initiate and maintain contact with media partners.
- Meta and Google Ad work
- Review the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
- Monitor trends, social and marketing activities of competitive set hotels & spas.
- Review advertising, print, digital and other publications.
The ideal cabdidiate will have:
- Post-secondary education in social media, communications, public relations or related field
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a related role with professional experience managing multiple social media accounts including Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram
- high level of proficiency with Dropbox, Microsoft Office, Canva, and Later (social media scheduling)
- Exceptional organization, project management, and multi-tasking skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (copy writing)
- Strong attention to detail
- Solution oriented individual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Photography/videography skills are an asset.
- CRM experience is an asset
- Basis Website editing experience is an asset
- Experience in hospitality/tourism is an asset
- Passion for content creation (strong proficiency in reel/TikTok creation)
- Flexibility to work evenings when needed to capture content.
