Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will lead email marketing campaigns and maintain voice, tone and messaging across brand touchpoints including web, digital and print. They will analyze data for Surrey Place-owned websites (using Google Analytics), YouTube, paid ads and email marketing and track changes against measurable KPIs to assess impact. This role includes coordination of multi-channel marketing campaigns, complex projects, quarterly review of data and analytics, research and administrative duties. The marketing coordinator will support marketing for Surrey Place Foundation and B2B products. Prior B2B, nonprofit or healthcare marketing experience is an asset. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, creative problem solver and skilled copywriter with the ability to juggle multiple projects under pressure.
This role is hybrid and may require on-site work at our downtown Toronto (2 Surrey Place) location up to once per week. Visits to our satellite locations may be required up to twice per year.
- Lead email marketing to support a complex network of services.
- Strategy and implementation of marketing related to brand awareness, Surrey Place Foundation and B2B products
- Analyze, provide recommendations and develop best practices for ongoing strategic execution of email marketing.
- Collaborate with creative services, technicians, clinicians and external vendors to produce a variety of creative copy for web, digital, print, signs and ads.
- Act as gatekeeper for copy and maintain voice, tone and messaging across all brand touchpoints.
- Use editing and proofing skills to ensure that the work is as error-free as possible
- Ensure web design has a consistent structure and is aligned with established brand and accessibility standards.
- Help implement, monitor and analyze SEO and paid advertising campaigns.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and devise strategies to activate them.
- Prepare presentations and reports on campaign performance. Collaborate with Communications Coordinator on data and analytics reporting.
- Collaborate with data department to obtain and analyze data, tables and charts.
- Pull and analyze data from Google Ads, Google Business and other sources.
- Track, assess, improve and report on the effectiveness of website behaviour flow on an ongoing basis and recommend enhancements or course correction.
- Select and prepare media for web, digital and print assets.
- Support creative services with photo editing, graphic design and video editing tasks for website and YouTube.
- Coordinate photography and video production.
- Support banner, swag and print asset requests for community outreach staff.
- Coordinate incoming requests from service departments.
- Provide administrative support including preparing project briefs, managing purchase orders, invoices, payments, inventory, media consents, contracts and reconciling expenses.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as marketing, communications or arts administration preferred.
- Two years of previous experience in marketing, communications or relevant experience involving significant administrative or coordination activities.
- Prior B2B, nonprofit or healthcare marketing experience is an asset.
- Professional writing and editing skills. Proficient use of English grammar, spelling and punctuation. Attention to detail in copywriting is essential.
- Experience with Google Analytics and digital marketing. Education or courses related to search engine optimization, paid media and web analytics tools.
- A self-starter with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues while working with minimal supervision.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to situations and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time and project management skills.
- Experience with email marketing software such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Microsoft CRM Dynamics or other CRM email systems.
- Basic technical knowledge of WordPress, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro is considered an asset.
- The successful candidate must provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Screening and proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
- Fluency in French is considered an asset.
