If you have an interest in Medical Device Sales and have responded yes to the above questions, THS currently has an exciting opportunity for you as a Medical Sales Representative, GTA - Pharmacy!The Position: The primary responsibility of this role is to build and maintain relationships with pharmacies, promote and sell our medical devices, and drive sales growth in the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities:Relationship Management- Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy owners, pharmacists, managers, and staff to maximize sales opportunities.
- Respond to and maximize opportunities with inbound leads in conjunction with strong teamwork and alignment with the marketing colleagues and digital activities.
- Communicate regularly with Regional Manager and Director of Sales to provide feedback from the marketplace.
Sales and Customer Management- Conduct sales calls on pharmacies within the assigned territory to promote and sell our pharmaceutical products.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory.
- Effectively communicate product information and provide educational materials to pharmacies, ensuring they are well-informed about our offerings.
- Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to network with potential customers and stay informed about the latest industry developments.
- Execution excellence of digital marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
Product and Market Knowledge- Establish and maintain strong clinical awareness of relevant therapy areas and their associated drug delivery and/or therapeutic mechanisms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies and promotional materials.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
Administration- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using the company's CRM system.
- Ensure that all contact lists are kept up to date and relevant.
Skills & Qualifications:Education and Experience- Post secondary education in Business, Medical Sciences or a related field of study.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail field sales with a medical device, O.T.C. or pharmaceutical company background, ideally in the greater Toronto area.
Specialized Skill or Knowledge- Solid understanding of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and insurance billing practices.
- Previous experience working in pharmacy or closely collaborating with pharmacies is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in sales or account management within the pharmaceutical industry or specifically in the pharmacy sector is a significant advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite of products and utilizing business development tools (CRM).
- Solid understanding of the Canadian medical retail and healthcare professional markets, business practices, and regulations
- High level of self-motivation and proven ability to work in the field and occasionally doing virtual calling in the assigned territory
- Vast experience with video-based technology and virtual communication (Blending E-mails, Video and Text messages, Phone calls, Social medias, etc).
Essential Duties- Ability to communicate and handle quality and regulatory issues.
- Ability to safely and lawfully operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs (23kg).
Working Conditions- Field/home office setting.
- Frequent interruptions.
- A valid full class driver’s license, and at least three (3) years’ driving experience with an ongoing satisfactory driver’s abstract is required.
- Compensation based on a regular work week of thirty-seven and one half (37.5) working hours, with additional working hours as required to meet ongoing business demands and to fulfill job responsibilities.
