AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMERS - Multiple Vacancies

The City of North Bay Arts, Culture, Recreation and Leisure Services department is accepting applications for Programmers to work within the After School Programs it is operating. Programs run Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year for youth ages 6-12.
Programmer responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day operation of Centre – report writing, program scheduling and paperwork
- Supervision of program participants ages 6-12
- General program coordination of physical activities, healthy food choices and nutrition, health and wellness activities, homework assistance, and arts & crafts
- Cleaning/sanitizing surfaces/equipment
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) dated within the last 3 months (or willing to obtain)
- Minimum of Grade 12 Education
- Display leadership and supervisory skills
- Preference given to bilingual candidates and those currently enrolled or Degree in Rec/Physical Ed, Concurrent Ed
Hours of Work: up to 3-15 hours a week depending on availability
Rate of Pay: $16.55 per hour plus vacation pay
Status: Non-Union Casual
